Australian made, a 1940’s sage green rayon tea dress. Soft and floaty. The neckline is a sweet v shape with flattering gathers at the yoke up to the shoulder seams. The sleeves are short and have a cute blouson, both pleated at the shoulder and sleeve opening.
The main fit of the dress is constructed from front and back princes seams that flow down to the hem. There is waist ties sewn into the side seams, to tie at the front or back of the dress. The closure of the dress is a row of plastic buttons down the centre front
Flaws: For the age, the fabric is still very good and you can where this dress often with the proper care and storage. There is some general fading, you can notice in the photos. How ever under natural light with the slight shine of the rayon its not noticeable. There are some tiny holes, nothing some darning cannot fix. These are positioned:
– hole at the front left shoulder near armhole
– centre back where the tie can hide it
– back right sleeve
There are no stains
This sweet heart’s tag is labeled as “Promises” ugh!
